Lots of people have come to define modern life by having a voice due to Democracy.
But is this actually the best mode of Govt? The evidence points to “No”. Has democracy ever succeeded in building a strong Nation from scratch? No. The West adopted Democracy after they got rich but it was Monarchy that made them rich.
In History, age of Empires is the best way to know how effective a system of Govt was. Let me tell you a story. 1/3
In 400BC, Classical Greece (who the West copied), invented Democracy. After a short period of prosperity, a big decline started. The leaders of Greece couldn’t agree on most things and their enemies easily conquered them. Greece fell after less than 180yrs in existence.
Contrast with Ancient Rome who adopted patches of democracy (e.g the Senate) but maintained an Emperor. Their civilization lasted more than a Millennium and we still see traces of their Empire in modern Britain.

Before Africa’s colonization, Nri Kingdom (an Igbo Kingdom led by a Priest-King), lasted for a thousand years (900-1911). Also, Benin Empire, lasted from 1100-1897 (both were ended by the British).
The Kingdom of Heaven is like this too. It has lasted for billions of years because it’s not a Democracy. It’s an Autocracy/Monarchy. Today, there is an obsession with “doing what makes you happy”, “giving everyone a voice”, “freedom of speech”, etc. But a majority of what people say is useless.
3/4
Does God want you to be happy? Yes. But a majority of the happiness man seeks are vices – wine, adultery, stealing, disobedience, sexual perversions, covetousness, etc.
Ecc 7:14 says “Someone who is always thinking about Happiness is a fool”.
In Democracy, there are too many competing interests and voices that nothing ever gets done. Democracy cannot take Nigeria where it NEEDS to be.
The End.
